Longing

Coffee, music, art abound
all a shallow facade
That represent the path of life
most have chose to trod.

But here, stirring, growing
from deep within my soul
An engulfing, eager longing
to express that I am whole

And in expression, perhaps, to see
in another's face
A similar anxious longing
to live in Jesus' grace
